Loyal readers, you may have wondered where I've been for the past few weeks. Well, I've been involved in quite a great many things, contemplating my friendship with ChI while my relationship with Carly becomes more intense. Most of all I have a little something personal I'd like to reveal to you, the reader.

This six month writing experiment has been a great one. I've met lots of you and had invaluable conversations and advice. The time has come, however, for me to move on. These writings, in the purest sense, have been a conglomerate of fact and fiction. A few of you (the attentive ones anyway) recognize that I write this journal under the pseudonym of 'Dean Moriarty' (famed characterization of Neal Cassady in Jack Kerouac's 'On the Road'). I've done this to offer myself a deal of anonymity as well as artistic license. Now I feel I must let you all know who has really been writing these entries, as they come to an end.

I have written a great deal of other stuff at my website colten.com. I keep a journal there too. I invite any of you to email me still as essentially I'm the same person. My issues, thoughts, problems, and fantasies are all as I portrayed them - fibbed only slightly on my age (I'm really 23) and location (I live in Charlottesville, VA).
